The Tongarra Museum showcases the history of our area, using a wealth of information and items including artefacts, photographs, historical documents and sketches.
The Museum stages a major exhibition each year based on the National Trust's annual theme. Photographic records and research from all past exhibitions are available.
The Museum provides research facilities and materials on local and family history, including a substantial selection of restored historical maps to assist you in your research.
Schools and other community groups can arrange to have special visits by appointment.
Tongarra Museum is staffed by volunteers from the Tongarra Heritage Society, who are always available to help you with your research.
