  • MINUTES FOR THE ALBION PARK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

    BUSINESS ARISING

     

    New closing date for the Co-ordinators Position was 7th October, 2005                       

     

    CORRESPONDENCE IN

    ·        Council Minutes. 

    ·        Chq from Central Corporate Services Unit – Final  payment from Community Plan $3300.00

    ·        Cheque book and deposit book from Horizon Credit Union

    ·        Account from Illawarra Mercury for advertising of the Co-ordinators Position $498.00.

    FINANCIAL REPORT

     

    Treasurer was unable to attend.

     

    The Chamber has not been furnished with a Treasures Report for over six months.  It has been noted that a regular Treasurers Report is now required due to the increased financial responsibilities of the Co-ordinators position and funding responsibilities.

     

    GENERAL BUSINESS

     

    Main Street Coordinator

     

    Applications have been emailed to 5 prospective applicants.

     

    A meeting will be held on the following week to discuss the applicants.

      

    AGM – to be held on November 8th. 

    Neville Fredericks has organized Steve Thorne from Design Urban Pty Ltd to attend the AGM to discuss future Albion Park Planning. 

     

    Ryan Turner from SME Corporation be invited.  Ryan donates the hosting of the Chamber website.

     

    Main Street coordinator will also be invited as a guest.

     

    Council Minutes

    A medium strip and fence for Tongarra Road has been approved by Council.  This was a RTA recommendation.

     

    Neil Greig has offered to organize a meeting, within the next fortnight, with RTA and the Chamber Executive to clarify the exact plans for the medium strip on Tongarra Road.

     

    Neil will also pass information back to the Chamber regarding the $45,000 funding that was approved for the traffic study.

    Requested a link be placed on the APCC website to his organization APNA and a link for the Spring Festival. This was approved.

     

    Greame

    Invitations for the AGM to be posted.  Graeme to draft a letter with notification of the speakers and a menu for the dinner, to be posted ASAP. 

     

    Graeme mentioned that in December 2003 the Chamber wrote to Shellharbour Council and requested a Development Control Plan for Albion Park.  The plan has not been organized.  The Chamber would like to request that a plan be compiled.

     

    2006 Albion Park Community Calendar

    36 monthly ads and 12 yearly ads to be issued
